This Columbus, Ohio homeowner had a vision of her dream bathroom. She went to the Central Ohio Home and Garden show to talk to potential remodeling firms. While at the show she met Al Deen of Dream Baths by Kitchen Kraft and scheduled an in-home design consultation.
While at the client’s home, Deen discussed her vision of transforming her space. She knew she wanted to ditch her shower/tub combo and have a walk-in shower with a door installed. She also wanted to add a seat and a niche to improve functionality. Her current vanity had two sinks and was functional, but it was dated and she was looking for more of a luxurious look. She also wanted the floor to have reclaimed wood.
Deen understood that she was looking for quality products and a timeless look. The homeowner wanted to keep her existing layout, so his job was to help her with the selections and quality of the products. The shower was installed and tiled with Marvel Calacatta Tile in a matted finish. A long niche and bench were also covered with the tile for a seamless look and a frameless shower door helped the shower feel larger. The old tile floor was removed and a dark tile that looked like wood was laid to look like flooring.
For the vanity, the homeowner wanted a luxurious furniture look. Deen helped her select white painted maple cabinets. A tower was added to the top of the vanity with matching painted crown molding. An extra set of drawers was placed in between the two sinks for additional storage. For the vanity top, she chose Crema Typhoon Granite. The same granite was installed on an additional set of cabinets near a window. Satin Nickel pulls were added to tie the other gray elements together for the luxurious and seamless look she wanted.
